Parents’ Review: 5 Stars for Wonderful, 1 Star for Terrible:
Assembly: 4 stars, “There was very little assembly required with this toy. The packaging was relatively painless and there are only about 5 separate parts to this toy. Assembly was simple.”
Fun Factor: 5 Stars, “My daughter was ecstatic when I brought this home. It likely has to do more with the branding though. She’s spoken of Monsters vs Aliens quite a bit. The toy is quite fun for a four year old. She figured it out right away. I did show here where the net connects to the helicopter and once she understood, she took over and continued play. She figured out that the seats were removable and how to attach and work the lights.
This is a great toy for preschool aged children and it travels well. It’s simple enough for the kids to play on their own unassisted but complex enough to keep them interested. For the first week she had this toy, she carried it with her everywhere, in the car, outside, trips to the store. She even took it to school whereupon it was collected because all of the kids were fighting to play with it.
The great thing about this toy is it entertains all. My 10 month old was entertained watching my daughter and her 6 year old brother play with it. The kids love the flashing lights and the removable chairs. But mostly it’s about catching the goblin with the net from high up in the sky.”
Educational Factor: 2 stars, “This is somewhat educational as it helps to improve their fine motor skills and examine the details of the toy. You have to pay attention to where the extra pieces go.”
Novelty Factor: 2 Stars, “It’s a great toy but it’s not completely unique.”
