Pretty much any PC gamer worth their salt knows that StarCraft II is going to be a big deal for a lot of people. But it is still a ways off though, so unless you’ve been spending some time over at Blizzard’s page you might not know that Blizzard recently changed their opt-in procedures for the upcoming StarCraft II beta. The beta itself is a few months off as well, but since Blizzard will be picking participants from a pool of players who have signed up ahead of time, if you want to be in consideration you had better get on it.
It’s a pretty simple change to your Battle.net account that allows blizzard to take a snapshot of your computer’s system specs, which allows them to gauge how good of a candidate you would be for the StarCraft II beta as well as future betas going forward. Like I said, if you are going to want in on this you had best get to making the appropriate changes. You can read more on this in the news section of Blizzard.com.
