"Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings" Whip Video

I'll admit that when news first leaked out of Indiana Jones and the staff of Kings, I wasn't too enthused. Maybe it was the Wii Remote hype that engulfs all Wii games of note, and there is plenty of that here. Maybe it was that something about it just seemed chintzy, or just not worthy of Indy. Well, it could be that the game is just a few weeks away, but regarding those doubts, that was then and this is now. I'm not saying that I'm doing a full 360 on the game. In looking at the game site's features page there is so much of a focus on the whip functionality, that at first glance it makes the game look a little like a one trick pony. But this functionality is obviously a big selling point for the game. Let's just hope there is a lot more to the game as well. Truth be told, the whip gameplay does look pretty fun and somewhat varied. Check it out for yourself in the video below. Also, hit up that features link above. According to the info there the game will have 2-player co-op play as well as 4-player versus. In addition, according to reports out the other day you will also be able to play as fellow Harrison Ford big screen character Han Solo at some point. Odd, but fun and it looks like this action might be in co-op play. That would be cool, and so with that I guess I am officially back on board. Bring on the baddies!

Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings releases June 9th on Wii, PS2, DS and PSP.
