Anyone who has given the coverage of Eidos' summer release Batman: Arkham Asylum a once over probably knows that along with a heavy stealth gameplay component, the single player action title also features a hefty bit of near arcade style fisticuffs. The goal here is to string together as many combos as possible, so as to take advantage of the point multipliers that you build up. So how do you do that? Watch and learn. The two gameplay videos below were more or less just released and give a pretty good idea of what players can expect from the smack down portion of Arkham Asylum gameplay. My one qualm in them is that you don't get a good sense of what kind of chin Batman brings to Arkham, since he is wiping the floor with the Joker's thugs. He does go down once though to a knife wielding baddie. No blades or bang sticks for the Dark Knight though. He's a hands-on kind of guy. Anyway, take a look at what you can expect when you are not swooping in from the shadows.
